During a captivating discussion, Charlize Theron, the Academy Award-winning actress and producer, engaged in a conversation with renowned director and producer Karan Johar, providing valuable perspectives on the entertainment industry.
Theron, who hails from South Africa, shared her experiences from her initial days in the United States. She began her journey as a ballet dancer but faced a career-ending knee injury. Subsequently, she ventured into acting, navigating the challenges of being an aspiring actor in Hollywood without any industry connections and limited knowledge.
While talking about her journey Theron shared, "when I started auditioning, I had a naive confidence. I would just walk into the door and be, âYeah, I'm the one you want for this part!'". "I think we overthink things," Theron added. "Because as artists and storytellers seeking magic, it's that thing you discover in the moment, not the thing you rehearse, that's magical."
Karan Johar expressed his sadness to Charlize Theron regarding her declaration that she is no longer considering love stories. "I have not related to a lot of romantic comedies because my love life has never looked like a romantic comedy," she said.

During the debut episode of Koffee With Karan 8 Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh made their first appearance together on the show and gave it a fantastic opening. The KWK couch is famously known for its manifesting powers and seemingly tapping into that energy, Karan shared how he wants to manifest this kind of love, during the episode. The filmmaker further said, "You don't have a partner of your own to share the nothings of your day with. And every day, I wake up and a little part of me feels that vacuum,".
He clarified saying, "I have my kids and mom but when I see this and I see you, and I know relationships are tough, but that soul connection with a person that you can wake up with, hold their hand, and see your day through tough times. I don't think I've had a moment like this on my own show. I felt so happy for you and I felt so alone yet. I hope this manifests into, I hope I have a story to tell," admitted Karan.
