Even before she was officially announced as the BJP Mandi candidate, Ranaut was an outspoken supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and backed the leader on issues such as the Citizenship (Amendment) Act in 2019-20 and farmers' protests and was also invited to the grand consecration ceremony of the idol of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya's Ram temple.
Here's a look at her journey so far.

Kangana made her acting debut at the age of 17 with Anurag Basu's 2006 film âGangster'. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. However, she found her big break in 2008 with âFashion' which was a landmark film in her career. She went on to do films like âOnce Upon a Time in Mumbaai', âTanu Weds Manu', âKrrish 3', and âQueen' which brought her into the spotlight. She launched her production house Manikarnika Films and is all set to release her first solo directorial âEmergency'.
Accolades
Kangana Ranaut is the recipient of Padma Shri, the country's fourth-highest civilian award, including four National Film Awards. Kangana won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for âFashion'. She won two consecutive National Film Awards for Best Actress for playing for âQueen' and âTanu Weds Manu Returns'. She earned her fourth National Film Award for âPanga' in which she portrayed a sportswoman.

The âTejas' actor also owns 3 flats in Mumbai worth Rs 16 crore. She also has 4 commercial units in Chandigarh. Her massive bungalow in Manali is worth Rs 15 crore and she has another commercial unit there as well. Kangana owns a Mercedes Maybach worth Rs 3.91 crore, a BMW worth Rs 98 lakh, and a Mercedes Benz worth Rs 58 lakh. She is also the owner of a Vespa scooter worth Rs 53,000. Criminal cases
Kangana has defamation cases filed against her by poet-lyricist Javed Akhtar, Mohinder Kaur, Aditya Pancholi and his wife Zarina Wahab, a copyright violation case, filed by author Ashish Kaul, a case for her now-deleted tweet on farmers' protests over the passed farm laws, a case for "spreading hate and breaking the brotherhood, and integrity of the country" through "provoking hate speeches" given by her, and for her allegedly "disrespectful" post claiming that Indira Gandhi caused "suffering" to the nation, and crushed 'Khalistanis' like mosquitoes at the cost of her life.
Besides the above, Kangana, a firebrand actor who had once famously called out Karan Johar as the "flagbearer of nepotism" and sparked a debate on insider versus outsider in Bollywood, is now looking forward to starting a new chapter in life as a BJP MP.
