Kajol recently opened up about her wedding day, revealing that she was a relaxed bride, thanks to her family's meticulous planning and arrangements. Speaking in an interview with Curly Tales, Kajol shared delightful anecdotes from her special day, which was an intimate affair with only about 50 guests in attendance.
Describing the joyous occasion, Kajol mentioned that her two sisters took charge of organizing the entire wedding, from floral arrangements to guest invitations, leaving her stress-free to enjoy every moment of the celebration. "I had a blast; they were very stressed out, my whole family was stressed out because they were organizing everything," she said with a smile.
Amidst the whirlwind of preparations, Kajol found herself at ease while getting her makeup done by the renowned artist, Mickey Contractor. Calm and composed, she would inquire about the next steps, almost treating the wedding like a film shooting. "Achcha theek hai, kaha pe jaaye hum abhi, kya karna hai, kaise shot dena hai (ok so where should I go now, what to do, what shot do I give)?" she playfully recalled.
Although she maintained a relaxed demeanor, Kajol did admit to being "very serious" about the event. However, even her patience wore thin when the priest prolonged the proceedings. Fondly reminiscing about the moment, Kajol revealed that she turned to her actor partner, Ajay Devgn, and asked him to urge the pundit to speed up the rituals. "While we were doing the wedding also, I'd tell Ajay to tell the pundit, 'Just hurry up, please!' It was taking so long," she chuckled.
The wedding ceremony involved two customs, a Maharashtrian wedding, and the traditional 'saath pheras,' adding to the joy and richness of the event. Despite her momentary restlessness, Kajol's wedding day remained a cherished memory for its intimate and love-filled ambiance.
