Vidhu Vinod Chopra, with his upcoming film starring Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor titled after Anil Kapoor's iconic song 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga', will be reviving the original track in the film. The Shelly Chopra Dhar directorial went on floors last month wherein Anil Kapoor and Madhu Malti started to shoot in Patiala while Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Juhi Chawla joined the shoot later.

'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' from 1942- A Love Story stays to be one of the most loved romantic tracks till date. Confirming the same, director Shelly Chopra Dhar said, "Yes, we are recreating the original and we want to replicate its iconic status. It's hard to beat the original so I will be happy if we are at par with it. However, we'll have to wait and see who sings the new version and for whom in the film."
The film 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' will mark the directorial debut of filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra's sister Shelly Chopra Dhar. Real life father-daughter Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in the film. The film will have TV actress Madhu Malti portraying the role of Anil Kapoor's mother, Rajkummar Rao will be seen as Sonam Kapoor's love interest. Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra under the banner Vinod Chopra films, 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' is directed by debutante director Shelly Chopra Dhar and is slated to release on 12th October 2018.
