John Abraham and Salman Khan
A week after Salman Khan announced that Radhe - Your Most Wanted Bhai will hit the screens on Eid, the makers of Satyameva Jayate 2 have also chosen the same date to release the John Abraham-starrer. The two films will clash at the box office on May 14. Milap Zaveri's directorial venture is a sequel to his 2018 action thriller. Theatre-owners, who are hard-hit due to the present situation, were keen that Khan keep his festive date. Trade folk are surprised by Satyameva Jayate 2's makers' decision to clash with Khan's film. Some wondered if it was a feasible move in current times.
To add to it, Sallu and Johnny boy have a history. During the 2006 Rockstars stage shows, Abraham had some issues about the monetary aspects, which Khan did not approve of. Later, there was chatter about Sallu's then-girlfriend Katrina Kaif and Abraham during the filming of New York (2009), which did not go down well with the superstar. It was alleged that he was furious about the exchange of SMSes between Kat and Johnny boy. Though things cooled down later, Khan and Abraham have always kept a distance from each other.
Speaking about Satyameva Jayate 2, the film also stars Divya Khosla Kumar and was slated for an October 2020 release. Earlier, John Abraham's film was said to be a box-office clash with three other major films- Vicky Kaushal's Sardar Udham Singh, Farhan Akhtar's Toofan, and hopefully, Tiger Shroff's Rambo Remake.
Satyameva Jayate 2 produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar (T-Series), Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani (Emmay Entertainment) is slated to release on May 12, 2021.

Earlier, Bhushan Kumar, in a media interaction shared, "Satyameva Jayate was a commercial hit not just at the box office but audiences loved the action and drama. John has become our nation's action hero since then. Nikkhil and we decided to take the franchise ahead and continue to make entertaining commercial cinema with Milap and John. The success of the first part definitely adds responsibility on us to deliver a bigger and better film this time around."
