This form has been appreciated in Bollywood through several songs, one of the most popular being 'Nagade Sang Dhol' from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ramleela. This song shows Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, the members of two rival Gujarati families, dancing their hearts out to the Garba beats.
Padmaavat - Ghoomar - 'Ghoomar'
Ghoomar is a well-known dance form, widely recognized in Rajasthan. The folk dance is about taking multiple rounds in one go. Devdas- Classical - âDola Re Dola'
Classical is yet another widely recognized dance form in Bollywood songs. There have been several songs from 'Inhi Logon Ne' to 'Maar Dala,' which have an essence of classical dancing. 'Dola Re Dola' is yet another example of the use of classical dancing in a Bollywood song. The choreography of the song was something different as it was a mix of Indian classical dance forms. The form of dance that Saroj Khan explored with 'Dola Re Dola' is called Nautwary. It included steps of Kathak and Bharatanatyam.
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani- Freestyle - 'Ghagra'
Freestyle is usually used in every other song in the industry. This dance form basically has no such rules and is a mix of all. With a touch of traditional and modern steps, 'Ghagra' fits perfectly into a Freestyle dance.
