India is proudly celebrating its 77th Independence Day, marking 76 years of freedom. As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the theme for this year's celebration is Nation First, Always First. Actors have been sending out wishes to their fans through social media. Sharing pictures from their Independence Day 2023 celebrations at home, they soaked in celebratory vibes.
Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif celebrated Independence Day at home. The actress' sister Isabelle Kaif was also with them. The couple hoisted the flag. Vicky and Katrina posed for a picture. She wore a white printed kurta and pyjama whereas he was dressed in a white shirt and denim pants. Sharing the picture, Katrina wrote, "Happy Independence Day!"

Workwise, Katrina was last seen in Phone Bhoot last year. Her upcoming films are Tiger 3 co-starring Salman Khan. The spy-thriller directed by Maneesh Sharma will be releasing in theatres on Diwali this year. Apart from that, Katrina will be seen in Sriram Raghavan's Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi. The multilingual film releases in December. She also has Jee Le Zaraa with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Alia Bhatt. The Farhan Akhtar directorial is yet to go on floors. There were reports of the film being shelved after Priyanka reportedly walked out of it for Citadel 2. However, Reema Kagti confirmed that there's no change in the cast and Jee Le Zaraa will be on floors soon.
Vicky's previous film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, was a box office hit. Co-starring Sara Ali Khan, it was a family rom-com. His next lineup includes films like Sam Bahadur, a biopic of Sam Manekshaw with director Meghna Gulzar. Vicky and Manushi Chhillar's The Great Indian Family is set to release on September 22. It is produced by Yash Raj Films.
Reportedly, Vicky has been approached for Jee Le Zaraa to star opposite Katrina. If true, it will be their first film together. Vicky and Katrina, who are one of the most sought-after actors in the industry, got married in 2021 in Rajasthan. It was a close-knit affair. They dated for a couple of years before tying the knot.
