How Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Sonu Nigam are helping India battle COVID-19 crisis!

Shahid Kapoor joined wife Mira Rajput to amplify the COVID-19 relief fund-raiser started by her sister and brother-in-law, Noor and Mohnish Wadhwani. Mira hosted a session on Instagram to explain how Breathe For India and the Billion Breath Movement will help raise funds, along with the NGO, Give India, to increase the supply of oxygen cylinders and accelerate virus relief work.

On Saturday, Sonu Nigam also extended a helping hand. The singer announced that along with golfer Krishiv KL Tekchandani, he will be providing portable oxygen canisters in Mumbai. Nigam posted, "Times are difficult and we need to stand in solidarity. Let us come forward and hold hands to help in our own capacities and save lives."

On the work-front, Kapoor has a web-series coming up directed by the duo Raj and DK. He also has the Jersey remake up. The film, also starring Sasha's father, Pankaj Kapur, and Mrunal Thakur, chronicles the story of a talented but failed cricketer who decides to return to the field. The sports drama releases during Diwali on November 5. It is clashing at the box office with Chandraprakash Dwivedi's historical, Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar. In the movie's Hindi remake, Shahid will be seen essaying the role of a cricket player. He had recently wrapped up shooting for the film.

Shahid Kapoor ringed in his 40th birthday in February this year and received a plethora of warm wishes from the film industry on the occasion. To celebrate the 40th birthday of the 'Kabir Singh' actor, Bollywood celebrities took to social media and poured in birthday wishes for the star. Many other stars including his brother and actor Ishan Khatter, Dia Mirza, filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra and others celebrated the 'Jab We Met' actor's birthday by sharing posts and pictures on social media.
