Holidaying B-Town stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan under fire

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's airport pictures sparked outrage on social media. On Monday, the lovebirds jetted off to the Maldives after recovering from the virus. A section of netizens, including author Shobhaa De, slammed B-Town stars for going on holidays when the country is reeling under the second wave of COVID-19. A fan asked if Bhatt and Kapoor had "bothered to donate plasma." Sara Ali Khan and her mother Amrita Singh are also holidaying in the island nation. "A vacation is more important than helping others," wrote a social media user.

On Sunday, Tiger Shroff and rumoured girlfriend Disha Patani were spotted at Mumbai airport on their way to the Maldives. They have jetted off yet again to Bollywood's most-favoured holiday destination. The two rang in 2021 in the island nation.

The Maldives seems to have become the favourite get-away destination. Bipasha Basu and her husband actor Karan Singh Grover, Madhuri Dixit, Shraddha Kapoor, Dia Mirza among others were also spotted holidaying there lately. Well, Janhvi Kapoor was also one of the stars to head to Bollywood's go-to destination. The actress jetted off to the Maldives as soon as she returned from her US holiday. Ever since she has been keeping her fans updated with her whereabouts on Instagram.

Several B-Town folks are leaving the city amid the alarming spike in virus cases. Others are making the most of the time off due to the Janta curfew and stoppage of shoots in the state by visiting families stationed elsewhere.
