Bachchan Pandey is an upcoming action-comedy film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon in lead roles.

On Wednesday, Kriti Sanon began shooting for the film. Being on the set of Sajid Nadiadwala's production made her nostalgic as he had launched her in B-Town with Heropanti (2014).

Farhad Samji's directorial venture, starring Akshay Kumar, rolled in Jaisalmer amid strict safety precautions.The makers shared pictures of the unit hands dressed in PPE suits to ensure the shoot progresses without any hitches in the new normal.

In Bachchan Pandey, Akshay plays a gangster who aspires to be an actor, while Kriti plays a journalist who wishes to be a director. The film also stars Arshad Warsi who plays the role of Akshay Kumar's friend.

Besides this film, Akshay Kumar's future line-up of films includes Rohit Shetty's cop action drama Sooryavanshi and a spy thriller titled Bell Bottom directed by Ranjit Tiwari. While Akshay romances Katrina Kaif in Sooryavanshi, Bell Bottom features Vaani Kapoor as the female lead.
