Esha Deol and Hema Malini
Sunny Deol hosted a grand Bollywood party for the success of his film 'Gadar 2'. The party, hosted on Saturday, was attended by the likes of Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan and many others. However, once again, Hema Malini and her daughters Ahana and Esha Deol made headlines with their absence.
Veteran actor Dharmendra, Sunny and his sons Karan and Rajveer Deol, Bobby Deol and his wife Tanya with son Aryaman were at the bash and were seen in a celebratory mood. While Hema Malini and her daughters did not attend the party, they had earlier shared their reaction to the film. When asked about her opinion on the film, Hema had said that it transported her to the era of '70s and '80s Bollywood. She shared that she appreciated the patriotism that the film attempted to instill in its viewers and felt that the portrayal of unity and brotherhood towards the Muslim community was beautifully depicted.
"Gadar dekh kar aayi hun. Bohut hi accha laga. Jo expected tha waese hi tha. Bohut hi interesting hai. Aesa lag raha tha ki 70s aur 80s ka us zamane ka film k jaesa ek daur hai." She continued praising the direction by stating, "Anil Sharma ji ne bohut beautiful direction kiya hai." On the performances, she noted, "Sunny is superb. Utkarsh, Anil Sharma ji's son unhone ne bhi bohut sundar acting kiya hai. Jo nayi ladki hai, woh bhi bohut acchi hai."
Celebrating the successful launch of 'Gadar 2', Esha Deol had also arranged a special screening of the movie in Mumbai recently. Both Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were present, gracing the occasion with their presence.

In an interview with News18, Hema had also spoken about Esha, Bobby and Sunny's reunion. "I am feeling very happy, I do not feel it is something new because it is very normal. Many times they keep coming home and all but we do not publish it anywhere, we are not the type to take pictures and immediately put it up on Instagram. We are not that kind of a family," she said.
"We are all very much together, always together. Any problem we are always together with each other. So, the press got it and it is nice, they are happy about it, and I am also happy," she added.
Talking about the bond the family shares, Hema said, "It is funny how people make it look like we are separated. We are always together, the whole family is with us. For certain reasons, they were not in the marriage and that is a different matter. But Sunny, Bobby always come during Raksha Bandhan since the beginning."
