Janhvi Kapoor
Over the years, the shoot of films, television and web series going awry due to the Mumbai rains has become an annual affair. This time around, the downpour and subsequent flooding in Delhi has compelled affected filmmakers to alter their schedules there. Janhvi Kapoor was to shoot her next, Ulajh, with director Sudhanshu Saria in the capital. However, due to flooding in Delhi, the makers opted to defer this spell by a month. Reportedly, the team was to film in Old Delhi, Lajpat Nagar market, landmark monuments like the Red Fort and Qutub Minar, and different locations in South Delhi. Considering the risks involved and keeping everyone's safety in mind, the makers decided to reschedule the shoot. Since the locations are critical to the narrative, they can't opt for alternate venues. The Ulajh team will return to Delhi in mid-August for the shoot. Set in the Indian Foreign Services (IFS) territory, the thriller also features Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang and Jitendra Joshi in pivotal roles.
We know that Kajol plays a lawyer in her maiden web series, The Trial: Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha. During a recent promotional interaction for the show, she was asked, in keeping with her onscreen character, what question would she pose Shah Rukh Khan. The feisty actor, who shares a three-decade-long long friendship with SRK, wondered would she could ask him. "Everything about him is there on social media," she pointed out. After a moment's thought, she said, "How much did Pathaan really make?" and burst into laughter. Expect a sharp retort from SRK or a clarification from Kajol in the coming days.

Contrary to rumours, there's no sequel of Khalnayak in the plans. However, Jackie Shroff, who played the upright cop Ram Sinha in the 1993 action drama, is reuniting with director Subhash Ghai. This time around, for a film titled Salaakhen. It has nothing to do with Sunny Deol's 1998 actioner or Shashi Kapoor's 1975 drama of the same name. We hear shooting is slated to start this October. "Working with Subhash Ghai is like coming home," Jackie has often said. Not surprising as he was launched as a hero with the veteran filmmaker's Hero (1983) and the two have collaborated several times over the years.
After wowing audiences with her vocal skills for over 12 years, Neha Kakkar has forayed into composing music. For her maiden composition, Dil bechara, she has teamed up with hubby and Punjabi artiste, Rohanpreet Singh. "The parts that I have sung are composed by me, while Rohu has sung the parts he composed," says Neha. Rohanpreet adds, "Neha is just being humble, the main composition of the song is hers. Kriti Sanon recently addressed reports that the name of her production house, Blue Butterfly Films, has a Sushant Singh Rajput connection. The actor-producer explained, "I do love butterflies and I do love the colour blue. It is there on my Insta bio since ages. I use it in my captions, I use it when I write poetry. I think it signifies dreams, wings, flight, freedom, liberal, positivity, happiness, all of it. I feel like a butterfly is beautiful, but it starts off with being a caterpillar, turning into a cocoon and then turning into a butterfly." Yeah, sure.
Over the last nine years since Salman Khan's Kick (2014), there has been continuous chatter about its sequel. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who made his directorial debut with the action entertainer, has not only written the script, but also discussed it with his actor-buddy. However, considering that theatrical business is far from getting back to normal, they are not looking to kickstart the second outing in a hurry. Since audiences aren't exactly thronging the cinemas as before, the makers are biding their time. Sajid reportedly shared that they needed the assurance of theatrical consumption of movies to justify the scale and budget of Kick 2. And only when they think the situation is conducive, will he and take the film on floors.
