Ibrahim Ali Khan
It appears that Ibrahim Ali Khan is on a roll. Even before he has wrapped up his maiden movie, he has reportedly bagged his second project. Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's son, who makes his debut in the Karan Johar-produced drama thriller Sarzameen, is said to have been confirmed for Dinesh Vijan's production, Diler. This time around, it is a romantic story to be helmed by Kunal Deshmukh. Apparently, Ibrahim loved the script in the first narration and gave his nod to it. Paperwork will be completed soon as the makers are looking to begin filming in London. By then, the young actor will complete the remaining portions of Sarzameen, which sees him play a terrorist and also stars Kajol and Prithviraj as a married couple. Interestingly, Ibrahim shares a good rapport with Dinesh, who was Saif's business partner at their production house Illuminati Films, before they amicably parted ways and the former went solo with Maddock Films.
Yesterday marked Rishi Kapoor's 71st birth anniversary. Actors like Sanjay Dutt paid tribute to the actor who passed away in April 2022. Neetu Kapoor marked the late Chintu ji's birth anniversary with a video compilation of some of his best screen moments over the years. Alongside, she wrote, "In remembrance." Daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni too shared a special video of the late actor's scenes and songs from films like Karz, Bobby, Mera Naam Joker, Kapoor & Sons, Bol Radha Bol, Hum Kisise Kum Nahin, Khel Khel Mein, Chandni and D-Day, saying, "Happy Birthday Papa. Miss you a little more today..." She also uploaded a video of her playing the Karz theme music on the piano. Alongside, she wrote, "For my father" with the hashtags, #karztune and #playpianobyear.

Of late, rumours have been rife about Farhan Akhtar opting out of Aamir Khan's production, the Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Spanish film, Campeones. His exit is being attributed to the delay in RS Prasanna's directorial venture going on floors. Apparently, the film was slated to roll in October, but since it is taking the production house more time to finalise actors to play the specially-abled parts, it has been rescheduled to January 20224. Farhan reportedly spoke to Aamir and excused himself as he will get busy with Don 3 then. Which is surprising as Farhan had said in a recent interview that he would begin shooting Aamir's production early next year and follow it up with his home production, before he moves on to Don 3.
After a year since his split with Ananya Panday, Ishaan Khatter is said to have found new love. Sources claim that Ishaan is serious about Chandni and has even introduced her to his close circle of friends. It is being said the two began dating earlier this year. The Kuala Lumpur-born model has featured in the Malaysian TV series Ghaib and also the Singapore TV drama My Mother's Story.
At a time when sequels are raking in the moolah at the box-office, more and more makers are turning their hits into franchises. The latest to join the sequel bandwagon is Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor's horror comedy, Bhoot Police (2021). Over two years since its release, the makers have revealed that an encore is on the cards. Saif and Arjun will reprise their parts in this edition, perhaps a follow-up of the original, directed by Pavan Kirpalani. Details on the second are in development stages and will be known in due time. Until then, we hear it is too early to say whether Yami Gautam and Jacqueliene Fernandez will also be a part of the sequel or not. Incidentally, last October, Saif had shared that he loves his role in Bhoot Police and the makers are keen on making the sequel.
Even as his next thriller, Ram Part 1 with Mohanlal is under-production, director Jeetu Joseph has signed on another movie of his favourite genre. The filmmaker, who also announced Drishyam 3 with Mohanlal earlier this year, is teaming up with Junglee Pictures for another thriller. The yet-untitled movie, based on true events, promises to inspire audiences with a heroic story of courage and unity. The narrative revoles around a brave and sharp-thinking law-enforcement officer who sets out on a mission to protect and save one of his own in a critical international case.
Tanya Deol's mother and Bobby's mother-in-law Marlene Ahuja passed away on Sunday evening. She had been unwell for a while and was said to have been ill during the last week. Over the weekend, Bobby and Tanya participated in the success bash of his brother Sunny Deol's latest release, Gadar 2. Sources say, even during the party, Bobby and Tanya would step out a couple of times to inquire about Marlene's health.
