Wedding celebrations in Hyderabad

Several B-Town folks winged their way to Hyderabad for the wedding celebrations of writer-director Rumy Jafry's daughter, Alfia. She tied the knot with businessman Amir Mohammad Haq on Friday. Neetu Kapoor, Sajid and Wardha Nadiadwala, Lali Dhawan, Tusshar Kapoor, and Sachin Tendulkar were spotted soaking in the festivities. Kapoor could not resist from taking selfies.

‘False charges against me'

Yo Yo Honey Singh claims wife Shalini Talwar's domestic abuse charges against him are "false and malicious". On Tuesday, Talwar filed a case in a Delhi court alleging "mental harassment, financial fraud and sexual violence". The singer released a statement, which read, "I have never issued a press note in the past despite being subjected to harsh criticism for my lyrics and speculation about my health, but I see no merit in maintaining silence this time as the allegations have also been directed at my parents and sister, who have stood by me during my difficult times." He refuted all the charges and told fans not to jump to conclusions.

All is well

Nushrrat Bharuccha is on the road to recovery after a health scare on the set. She was shooting for a film, which is under wraps, when she felt dizzy. Her blood pressure had fallen and she needed urgent medical care. Friends, chocolates and laughter kept her going.

On Saturday, to mark National Handloom Day, Vidya Balan provided a glimpse of her saree collection. "Let's celebrate the magical creations of our weavers," wrote the actor and posted a series of pictures wrapped in six yards on Instagram.

Back in town

Kajal Aggarwal is back in town after wrapping up the shoot of Uma in Kolkata. Tathagata Singha's directorial venture was shot on a start-to-finish stint. "There are certain characters that stay with you. Uma is going to leave me with a beautiful hangover," she said.

Special day, special treats

Pulkit Samrat and girlfriend Kriti Kharbanda celebrated pet dog Drogo's birthday on Friday by treating the Siberian Husky to his favourite food, including peanut butter, carrot, watermelon, coconut, fish and chicken. The couple also gifted him "a collection of new toys". Kharbanda, who prefers to call the pooch Chotu, wrote that he is "always looking for treats and more holidays together. He is our cutie".

Song of freedom

After Unbelievable and Casanova, Tiger Shroff turns singer again with his new single, Vande Mataram. "It's not just a song, but an emotion that celebrates independent India," says Shroff. The track is composed by Vishal Mishra and penned by Kaushal Kishore. "The song is a symbol of empowerment, hope, and courage. This is the first time I have attempted to sing a song like this, so I am excited and nervous," adds Shroff, who turned to singing during the lockdown.
