If the reports of the combination of celebrity guests are any indication, it looks like family is the theme for the eighth season of Koffee with Karan. Now, we hear that cousins Kajol and Rani Mukerji are set to join their dost and show host Karan Johar for a fun-filled conversation over a cuppa. This marks the two actors' reunion on the show over 16 years since the second season, when they shot the first episode with Shah Rukh Khan. Both Kajol and Rani have given their nod to Karan and are expected to shoot soon for the episode. The two cousins share a great bond as is evident in their pictures and videos from the recent Durga Puja celebrations organised by the Mukerji family.
This week began on a sad note for the Bedi family as former Indian cricket great, Bishan Singh Bedi passed away on Monday after a prolonged illness. Yesterday, Angad Bedi paid a tribute to his late father, with a note, saying, "Isn't it completely in dad's character to bowl us over with the ultimate spin ball, one that even we never saw coming. While we are in shock and overcome with grief, we find solace in knowing that he lived a rich, fearless and full life that inspired many." Actor-wife Neha Dhupia also shared Angad's post, which read, "He epitomised living a life that was Nirbhau-Nirvair and we are comforted in knowing that he is with his beloved now. Dad, we were blessed to have you as our fearless leader. We will strive to live by your motto - to observe and absorb. Keep guiding us from the great beyond."

It appears that director-duo Raj-DK have impressed the international producers of Citadel with their Indian version of the spy thriller. While the desi spin-off, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha, is set to premiere next year, we hear that Marvel Studios has commissioned the creative duo to write the origin idea of a superhero story. Raj-DK, along with their writing partner Sita Menon, have begun developing their concept. It is not yet known if the superhero will be an Indian or a western character. Guess things will be clearer after the duo discuss their idea with Marvel bosses.
It appears that the days when actors would hide their character's look under caps and dark glasses are gone. Shahid Kapoor has been flaunting his short hair and bearded avatar of late. It is said to be the actor's look for his next that also sees Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews make his Hindi debut. The action thriller, titled Deva, marks a couple of firsts for the actor. It is the first time Shahid plays a cop and also pairs up with Pooja Hegde on screen. Recently, the makers of Deva locked its release date. Sharing a gun-toting picture of himself on social media, Sasha wrote, "Deva in theatres on Dussehra, October 11, 2024."
Yash, who became a pan-India star with the KGF film franchise, is gearing up for his foray into Bollywood. We know that the Kannada actor is set to make his Hindi debut as Raavan in Nitesh Tiwari's three-part retelling of the Ramayana. News is that the actor is taking home a fat fee to play the demon king in the mythological saga. Sources claim that Yash is getting his asking price of R150 crore to play Raavan, for which he has done some look tests. Reportedly, Nitesh is slated to begin filming with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita in February, while Yash is scheduled to join them later in July. In the interim, he is said to complete his next with director Geethu Mohandas.
