The Panga actor quipped, "I would like to lock up my best friend Karan Johar ji, in my jail and host him there. Along with him, I'd even like to put Ekta Kapoor." Real Gangubai's family slams film's team

Last year, he had also filed a case against Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the writers from whose book Mafia Queens Of Mumbai: Stories of Women from Ganglands, the film has been adapted. However, the Bombay High Court had refused to stay the release of Gangubai Kathiawadi and granted an interim stay on the criminal defamation proceedings against the filmmakers.
