Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vir Das and Ram Madhvani
India has scored three nominations at the International Emmy Awards 2021. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in contention for the Best Performance by an Actor title for Serious Men. Vir Das has been nominated in the Comedy section for his Netflix special, Vir Das: For India. Ram Madhvani's web series, Aarya, starring Sushmita Sen, has received a nod in the Best Drama Series category.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Kathmandu for 'Shambhala' premiere
Vicky Kaushal took to social media to announce that his much-awaited film, Sardar Udham, will release on Amazon Prime Video. The actor dropped a new poster of the film, based on the life of the revolutionary, Sardar Udham Singh. Kaushal slips into the lead role. The film will premiere in October.

Nia Sharma took a jab at Bollywood's star-kids stating that there is nothing remarkable about them. She questioned whether anyone would "look at them twice" without their famous surnames. In a radio interview, she reportedly said, "Somebody has the audacity to tell me I am not ready for Bollywood. When you see a Bollywood star kid's face, [do you think] they are ready? Have they seen them? [If you] take the name [away], will you look at them twice? I am sorry, but [that's] the reality."
Actors Vishal Singh and Tanya Sharma feature in the Punjabi music video, Vyaah wali jodi, directed by DID fame dancer, Prince Gupta, and sung by Jivan Mann. "Being Punjabi, I always wanted to do something in this industry. The [most memorable] experience was filming this song [during] the pandemic," says Singh.

Nushrratt Bharuccha is set to headline the upcoming quirky comedy, Janhit Mein Jaari. The movie has been written by Raaj Shandilyaa, of Dream Girl fame. Shooting commenced in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh. It also features Anud Dhaka, Annu Kapoor and Paritosh Tripathi in pivotal roles.
Constantly prodded about his marriage plans, Salman Khan decided to address them at the Bigg Boss 15 press conference. Calling his association with the long-running show the only "pavitra rishta" in his life, he drew parallels between him and Bigg Boss, highlighting that they are both single. "That's why we think we are the bosses," he quipped.
Chunky Pandey poked fun at Ananya Panday's culinary skills (or the lack of them). In an interview, he spoke of how his daughter "has cooked up some nice stories, but never food." He also made light of the fact that his wife Bhavana too couldn't whip up a meal, and narrated how his in-laws lied to him about her cooking skills before their marriage.

Although easily the favourite superstar of media folk, Shah Rukh Khan is notoriously infamous for arriving (extremely) late for interviews. Turns out, he keeps industry folk waiting too. Khan's friend Juhi Chawla recently shared, "Whenever there is a party at our house, we always invite [him]. Once, I had called him, and everyone, especially the staff, was excited that he was coming. I told him to come by 11 pm. He said he would be slightly late. He came at 2.30 am. By then, the staff had left, I was asleep, the food was over."
Jackie Shroff shared that he picked up his signature Bhidu catchphrase from one of Amitabh Bachchan's films. Sharing the details on a yet-to-air episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, Shroff responded to Bachchan's question on where he got his "Bhidu" accent from. "Sir, you have [taught] us this language. You've taught us a good way to speak as well. But, this âMumbai-ki-bhasha' has been given to us by you."
A national anti-tobacco organisation has urged Amitabh Bachchan to withdraw from an advertising campaign promoting pan masala, saying that the move would help wean away youngsters from getting hooked on to tobacco addiction. In a letter to Bachchan, the organisation's president highlighted the damage caused by its consumption, and said that as a government brand ambassador for the high-profile pulse polio campaign, Bachchan should avoid promoting the brand.
