Several Bollywood celebrities, including Farah Khan and Zoya Akhtar, took to social media to wish Gauri Khan on her 51st birthday on Friday. They also extended their support for her son, Aryan. Farah, who visited Mannat on Thursday night, wrote, "The strength of a mother is second to none. The prayers of a parent can move mountains and part seas. Happy birthday to the strongest mother and woman I have witnessed this past week." Akhtar posted a monochrome picture of a lioness with her cub and captioned it, "Happy birthday Gauri. May you stay strong, stay brave, stay you." Taking to her Instagram handle, Gauri's bestie Sussanne Khan wrote, "God's love and grace will always be there... I love you loads." Raveena Tandon Thadani also expressed her concern. "Shameful politics is being played out. It's a young man's life and future they are toying with. Heartbreaking," she tweeted. Though the actor didn't name Aryan, it was clear who she was alluding to.

Suhana reacts to Hrithik's post

Social media savvy Suhana Khan had kept herself away from Instagram after brother Aryan was embroiled in the drug bust case. On Friday, she resurfaced to wish mother Gauri Khan on her birthday. Suhana, who is studying in New York, also ‘liked' Hrithik Roshan's open letter lending his support to Aryan.

Prince Narula and wife Yuvika Chaudhary will be seen together in the web series, Shabana. Abhijeet Das's directorial venture features them in a deglam look. It was challenging and satisfying for the couple to play characters a far cry from their image in the slice-of-life story. Rahul Dev and Anil George are also part of

The legacy continues

Bappi Lahiri's grandson, Rego-B, 12, begins his musical journey with a song for kids, Bachcha party, composed by Shameer Tandon. He also features in the music video, reflecting his grandpa's swag and style, including the gold chains. "Saregama is launching him, and it makes it doubly special as my association with the music label goes back to decades," says the veteran musician. Rego-B is the son of Lahiri's daughter Rema who cut her album, Little Star, in 1987.

Invest right

Like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt has also started investing in start-ups. She is funding the IIT Kanpur-backed Phool.co, which converts floral waste into charcoal-free luxury incense products. It also provides an alternative to animal leather made with flowers. "I admire the founder's [Ankit Agarwal] vision of making incense and bio-leather from recycled flowers, and contributing to keeping the rivers clean, creating a humane alternative to leather and provide employment to women," said the actor. Earlier this year, Bhatt invested in a lifestyle brand due to its Indian roots.

Subtitles before title

Siddhant Chaturvedi is dubbing for Shakun Batra's film, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday. "When you get subtitles before the title," posted Chaturvedi. The Karan Johar production rolled last year but the makers have still not disclosed the title. Or are they still thinking of one?

Back in action

Kirron Kher is back at work after almost a year. Ever since the actor-politician was diagnosed with blood cancer, she kept herself away from the scene. The veteran actor virtually inaugurated oxygen plants in her constituency, Chandigarh. She shared the news in an Instagram post. Husband Anupam Kher cheered her and posted, "Well done." In April, Anupam and son Sikandar had released a statement about her health. "Just so that rumours don't get the better of a situation, Sikandar and I would like to inform you that Kirron has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer." The veteran actor is now on the road to recovery.

Ready for the celebrations

Cricketer Deepak Chahar's girlfriend Jaya Bhardwaj is actor Sidharth Bhardwaj's sister. The winner of Splitsvilla 2 was also part of the fifth season of Bigg Boss in 2011. "Proud of your style of proposing. Let the life-long celebrations begin," posted Bhardwaj. On Thursday, Chahar proposed to Jaya after the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings.

Teri Meri Ikk Jindri actor Aalisha Panwar makes her short film debut with Blind Love 2. She plays a visually impaired character in Prradip Khairwar's directorial venture, co-starring Shagun Pandey. "The film narrates the tale of true love. We see our loved ones not through our eyes but our hearts," says Panwar.

Role play

Avinesh Rekhi underwent a physical transformation for the upcoming show, Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na. He lost 13 kilos within a short time. "The makers wanted me to shoot bare-chested for a lot of sequences. It became my biggest motivation for being in ship-shape," he says.
