Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan
After vacating August 11 this year for Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, the makers of Adipurush have finally decided on a new date. The Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon-starrer, helmed by Om Raut will now release on January 12, 2023. This date has been chosen considering Lohri falls on January 14, followed by Pongal and Makar Sankranti on January 15. Not surprising, since the makers hope to attract bigger footfalls on the festival holidays across the country with Prabhas' next pan-India film. The epic mythological, which will also be released in 3D, has extensive VFX. Om, who has previously directed the Ajay Devgn-starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, is particular about getting the special effects perfect. And he doesn't want to spare any effort in getting the best results, at par with international standards.
Shilpa Shetty, who began work on her new film yesterday, announced it online. "Thodi bedhadak si hoon main, meri zindagi hai khuli kitaab, duniya besharam kehti hai to kya, kisi se kam nahin hain mere khwaab! Thrilled to announce my next, in and as Sukhee (sic)," she wrote. The actor shared the film's poster in which she's holding a cabbage, an iron, a rolling pin, a watch, a wallet, a tiffin box and keys. Juggling too much, is it?

Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon had a tough time shooting the song, Meri jaan meri jaan for their upcoming film, Bachchan Pandey in the chilly winter of Rajasthan. This romantic track required her to wear off-shoulder outfits, while the leading man had to keep most of his shirt unbuttoned. With the mercury dropping to one and two degrees, the actors would rush indoors after every shot and wrap quilts and blankets around themselves to keep warm. Oh, the irony of it all.
On Monday night, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji sent everyone into a tizzy when they went to the residential complex where Vashu Bhagani resides. Soon speculations were rife about a possible collaboration.
The fact of the matter is that they were visiting Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus, who is also one of the producers of Brahmastra and the brain behind the VFX of the superhero sci-fi extravaganza. Apparently, they were getting together to discuss the special effects of their movie, which releases on September 9 this year.
The shaadi season continues in tinsel town. Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak's daughter Sanah is reportedly set to tie the knot with Mayank Pahwa, son of actor-couple Manoj and Seema Pahwa, in Mahabaleshwar today. Sanah previously made her acting debut in the Shahid Kapoor-starrer Shaandaar, which also featured Kapur in a pivotal role. The mehndi and sangeet ceremonies took place last evening and were attended by the families and their closest friends. The two families have been friends for several years. Sanah and Mayank, too, apparently grew close over the years. The couple had got engaged some time ago.
Avinash Tiwary is training hard to meet his new target. The actor, who plays underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in a web show based on the book, Dongri To Dubai, has a month to shed 12 kg for his next project. He is playing a bureaucrat in the yet-untitled show, which is being produced by T-Series. So, Avinash is following a strict exercise and diet regime to lose the excess weight he had piled on for his don avatar.
Ayushmann Khurrana is currently shooting at London's Tower Bridge for Aanand L Rai's An Action Hero, which is directed by Anirudh Iyer. Interestingly, the iconic location has been used for several Hollywood biggies, like Angelina Jolie's Lara Croft: The Tomb Raider, Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible, Pierce Brosnan's James Bond film, The World Is Not Enough, and Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home. Talking about the film, Ayushmann said, "An Action Hero is mounted on a scale that deserves to be shot in big locations. So apart from some gorgeous locations in India, we will also shoot at some really breathtaking places in the UK, which, I'm sure the audiences will love to see on screen."
Vidisha Srivastava is all ready for her role as the new Anita Bhabhi in the sitcom, Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain. The actor, who bears some resemblance to Bollywood star Yami Gautam, is delighted with this opportunity. Asserting that her portrayal will bear no resemblance to her predecessors like Neha Pendse and Saumya Tandon, she is "eagerly looking forward to the audience's acceptance" of her as their new Anita bhabhi.
