The couple is reportedly planning a March nuptials in Mumbai. As the third wave of the virus has just begun, it will be a wait-and-watch
situation about the guest list and scale of celebrations. Those in the know say they don't want to delay their wedding amid the pandemic and might opt for a low-key and intimate affair. The buzz is that they are now keen to take their relationship to the next level. The two have been together for over three years. Last August, Dandekar tattooed her beau's name on her neck to mark her birthday.

Hitting back

Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar slammed a section of netizens who tried to defame the veteran lyricist's great great grandfather and freedom fighter Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi. After Akhtar raised his voice against a controversial website ‘auctioning' Muslim women, social media users dragged his ancestors into the conversation. In his tweet, Akhtar stated that he's appalled with everyone's silence, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his own. He posted, "The moment I raised my voice against the online auction of women and those glorifying Godse and preaching genocide to the army, police and people, some bigots have started abusing my great great grandfather, a freedom fighter who died in Kala Pani in 1864. What do you say to such idiots (sic)?"

The feasting continues

A day after she gorged on croissants, Kareena Kapoor Khan tucked into sinful desserts. Along with sister Karisma, she relished a bowl of strawberries and cream. Bebo is determined to start 2022 by gorging on whatever her heart desires. Health scare

Jacqueline Fernandez's mother, Kim is in hospital after suffering a heart stroke. The actor is constantly in touch with father Melroy and relatives as she cannot leave the country. Her folks live in Bahrain. Last month, the actor was stopped at Mumbai airport from travelling abroad. The Enforcement Directorate has issued a lookout notice against Fernandez for her links in several transaction deals of alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar's R200 crore money laundering case.

Fighting the third wave

Drashti Dhami joins the growing number of television folk who tested positive for the virus. The Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil actor is under home quarantine. Dhami posted that she is "counting on the blessings" as she "fights the third wave." The actor is "accepting love and good food," and is spending time watching her web series, The Empire. She also urged people to "stay safe and stay masked."

Tough times

After Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor Nakuul Mehta contracted the Coronavirus, wife Jankee Parekh was also infected, followed by son Sufi. The 11-month-old needed hospitalisation. Parekh related her ordeal in the ICU with Sufi. "My fighter went through it all... three IV drips, blood tests, bottles of saline, antibiotics and injections. Sometimes, I wonder how this tiny human got so much strength to face all this," she posted. "To all of you with babies, please do not put your guard down," Parekh added.

Happy to be negative

On Tuesday, Arjun Bijlani tested negative for the virus, about 10 days after he got infected. India's Got Talent host shared his joy by posting a video in which he is seen sitting in his car, grooving to Badshah's chartbuster, Abhi toh party shuru hui hai from the Sonam Kapoor starrer, Khoobsurat (2014). He captioned the video, "When you test negative, the party starts." The actor added a note of caution, "The only place you can make merry now is in your car." Bijlani also told fans to get themselves tested as soon as they display symptoms.

Time to mess up someone's life

Madhuri Sanjeev is the latest addition to Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain. The veteran actor, who plays a negative role, says, "It is always a challenge to join a show midway because the viewers are already accustomed to the characters and the storyline." As Nutan bua, she will be seen disrupting protagonist Sanjay Pathak's life to add to
the drama.
