A case has been filed against several Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Anupam Kher and Rakul Preet Singh, for revealing the name of the woman, who was sexually assaulted, killed and her body set on fire on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The 2019 horrific act had sparked outrage across the nation. The complaint has been filed by a Delhi-based lawyer Gaurav Gulati at the Sabzi Mandi police station. He has also filed a petition in the Tees Hazari Court alleging that the celebrities "were not being responsible citizens." He accused them of disclosing the identity despite the law prohibiting it. The case has been filed as the stars "instead of setting an example for others" have broken the rule in their social media posts. Some South film folk, including Ravi Teja, Allu Sirish and Charmme Kaur, have also been named in the case.

20 years on

On Tuesday, Anil Kapoor marked two decades of Nayak (2001) by sharing that a lot of people had reservations about him being part of the film "but I knew I had to do it as I believed in its message. And now, here we are celebrating." S Shankar's political drama was a remake of his Tamil film Mudhalvan (1999). It was initially offered to Aamir Khan and later to Shah Rukh Khan before Kapoor was roped in. "I was the reel life CM for a day and the rest is history," Kapoor added. Though it was not a box office hit, it acquired cult status over the years.

While waiting for his action-adventure starring Katrina Kaif to roll, Ali Abbas Zafar is helming music videos. He is shooting with Diljit Dosanjh for his new track Void, which is part of the singer's album, Moon Child Era. Dosanjh also features in Zafar's upcoming production set against the backdrop of the 1984
anti-Sikh riots.

Never too late to celebrate

Anita Raaj and Sunil Hingorani's son, Shivam tied the knot with long-time girlfriend, Renu Oberoi, last December. Due to the pandemic, it was a low-key affair at their Bandra home. Mammootty's milestone birthday

South icon Mammootty clocked 70 years on Tuesday.Son Dulquer Salmaan's birthday wish was "may you always age in reverse." Several stars extended greetings to the Malayalam superstar on his landmark year, including Kamal Haasan, Suresh Gopi and Mohanlal. Haasan, 66, could not believe that Mammootty had turned 70. He thought that he would be of his age or younger. In a video message, Haasan said, "May you be able to maintain this energy and youth. All the best to this senior citizen from another senior citizen."

The travelling sisters

With time on hand in-between films, Taapsee Pannu has taken off to Goa with sister Shagun. She is the actor's travel buddy. In June, the two explored Moscow. Bhumi Pednekar's travel companion is lawyer sister Samiksha. After holidaying in Hungary, the two are currently in Marbella, Spain. Singer Akriti Kakar winged her way to the Maldives with sisters Sukriti and Prakriti "where we bonded like never before and celebrated my birthday," says Akriti.

Akshay seeks prayers for ailing mother

Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to urge everyone to pray for mother Aruna Bhatia's speedy recovery. "Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom's health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help," he posted on Tuesday night. Kumar flew back to Mumbai from London after his mother was admitted to the ICU of the Hiranandani Hospital in Powai.

Doctor in the house

After the web show, Pawan & Pooja, Natasha Bharadwaj will be seen in the upcoming Mumbai Diaries 26/11 starring Konkona Sensharma and Mohit Raina. The winner of India's Next Superstars plays a resident doctor in Nikkhil Advani's digital series. "When I was confirmed for the role, I asked mom [Rachna], who is a doctor, to give me her lab coat and stethoscope; that's how I broke the news to her. It was a heartwarming and overwhelming moment for both of us," says Bharadwaj.

A promise kept

Indian Idol 12 finalist Shanmukhapriya will render a track in Vijay Deverakonda's upcoming multilingual, Liger: Saala Crossbreed. The Telugu sensation had promised the youngster that she would be singing in one of his films in a video message during the reality show's finale. Deverakonda also invited the singer and her mother Ratnamala to his Hyderabad home. The actor's mom Madhavi is also a fan of Shanmukhapriya.
