Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut once again took a sly dig at Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar with her social media post. "This Friday, Rs 200 crore will be burnt to ashes at the box officeâ¦" wrote the Thalaivii actor, hinting at this week's release, Gangubai Kathiawadi. She also hit out at KJo, calling him âBollywood mafia daddy Papa Jo' in her post in which she ran down the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film that also features Ajay Devgn as the don, Rahim Lala. Really now Kangs, for how long will you continue with such posts?

Buoyed by the response to her performance in last year's Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Vaani Kapoor is upbeat about this year as she gears up for Shamshera. "I have put myself out there in a big way and it has been a fulfilling experience to push myself so much for a movie," she says about her period action drama. She adds, "I hope that Shamshera, too, will be a film that people say I can be trusted to do anything on screen, that I'd never back down from being part of a novel vision and that I'd always try to reinvent myself into doing something new."
Even as he awaits the launch of his new TV show, Woh Toh Hai Albela, Shaheer Sheikh is all set to send the mercury rising. The actor, who's shooting a music video with Nikki Tamboli, posted on social media a picture of them together, saying, "We are coming to set the temperatures soaring.. #comingsoon (sic)" and also tagged his co-star from the song. He has previously featured in several music videos with TV actors like Hina Khan and Shivangi Joshi to name some.
Taapsee Pannu announced the wrap-up of her next, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan, on social media yesterday. Tagging her co-star, Pratik Gandhi, she wrote, "Thank you for being a co-star who I could really jam with in front of the camera as much as behind the camera. You truly helped me perform better by just being so good at your craft. Can't wait for world to see Gagan!" Having done some really intense films in the last few years, Taapsee is excited about the madcap comedy, as "it has been a therapeutic experience". Pratik, too, shared an image with his leading lady, saying, "Here's to @taapsee, ACP Komal Sharma as she wraps up for the film #WohLadkiHaiKahaan and this crazy journey with me, Gagan Agarwal. Thank you for being you, the energy, discipline and focus you bring along with your craft. What a blast we had working on this one! (sic)"
The weekend saw Shilpa Shetty Kundra dedicating a day to the elders. The actor shared a series of pictures, with her mother Sunanda and late father Surendra Shetty, captioning it: "Our elders are a treasure trove of wisdom, patience, experience, and love. The heaviest weights we carry become rather easy to offload after a simple conversation with them. Even when they aren't here, I'm sure they're always looking out for us. Love them, respect them, and be there for them. It's a blessing that should never be taken for granted (sic)."
Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani, who made their relationship official last October, visited the Taj Mahal yesterday. The couple was in the Uttar Pradesh city for filmmaker Luv Ranjan's wedding with his long-time girlfriend Alisha Vaid. They made an impromptu visit to the much-celebrated monument, perhaps to celebrate their love too. Interestingly, both Rakul and Jackky were wearing chikankari kurtas. Such couple twinning, we tell you.
Ever since his debut in films, Shahid Kapoor has also been known for his love of motorcycles. Over the years, he has owned several high-end bikes, opting to upgrade with newer models from time to time. He continues to have a good number of superbikes in his garage and on several occasions has been seen arriving at or leaving from studios on his favourite mode of transport. On Sunday evening, as he set to zoom out from Bandra's Mehboob Studios for his home on his super scrambler, he shared a reel on social media, and captioned it: "Going to be riding to work a lot more often. See if you can spot me around the city?" Given the traffic scenario in Mumbai even on weekends, must say a bike is a better option, no?
Sahil Khattar, who played Syed Kirmani in Kabir Khan's 83, is over the moon. The actor has gone from a lean 62.5 kg to a beefy 77 kg in three months. He altered his routine to minimise functional training and increase cardio and weight workouts. Also, he followed a strict diet of high protein, medium carbs and a lot of fibre to digest the proteins.
Comedian and anchor Balraj Syal injured his back while shooting for a new show and has now been ruled out of action till he recuperates. Incidentally, he had suffered a slipped disc while shooting Comedy Circus a few years ago and it seems the problem has recurred. "We are continuously shooting for our upcoming show. It was that one moment when my back got badly injured and now I have been advised complete bed rest. Hopefully, I can recover soon and get back on the sets," he said.
