B-Town's rumour mills are working overtime about Ameesha Patel and Faisal Patel's alleged relationship after their social media banter. The son of the late Congress leader Ahmed Patel turned a year older on December 30. "Happy birthday my darling, love you⦠have a super awesome year," wrote the actor. Faisal retweeted her post with a marriage proposal. "I'm formally proposing in public. Will you marry me?" he asked. Moments later, the entrepreneur deleted the post. His sister Mumtaz requested netizens "to not read too much into his deleted tweet." She added, "Ameesha is like family. We have been friends for three generations. It was an internal joke. Please take it in good humour." Ameesha is the granddaughter of Rajni Patel, the late Mumbai Congress leader of the '70s. Faisal's wife Zainab passed away in 2016 after a prolonged illness.
Though Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone preferred to keep their New Year holiday destination under wraps, Singh dropped hints about the location. The actor shared snapshots against the backdrop of a beach. He captioned them, "First day of the rest of my life." The buzz is that the couple is holidaying in the Maldives.

An Indore resident has lodged a police complaint against the alleged illegal use of his number plate in Laxman Utekar's untitled film starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. After a scene from the shoot featuring the actors on a bike went viral, the complainant Jai Singh Yadav said, "The vehicle number of the bike is mine. I don't know if the film unit is aware of it, but this is illegal. I demand immediate action."

Kajal Aggarwal's husband Gautam Kitchlu confirmed that they are expecting a bundle of joy. There had been buzz that the actor was pregnant as her baby bump was visible during her recent outings. The businessman posted a picture of Aggarwal and wrote, "Here's looking at you 2022." He added a pregnant woman's emoji to the caption. The two tied the knot in October 2020. Apart from her South commitments, Aggarwal featured in the John Abraham-starrer Mumbai Saga (2021).
AR Rahman's singer daughter Khatija got engaged to audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed. On Sunday, she shared the news that the ceremony was performed in the presence of "family and loved ones" on her birthday (December 29). She described her fiancé as "an aspiring entrepreneur and a whiz kid audio engineer." Riyasdeen collaborates with the Oscar-winner and singer-composer Amit Trivedi for their live shows.
