Alia Bhatt and Gal Gadot
Alia Bhatt, who is currently riding high on the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi, has bagged the biggest movie of her career so far. The actor is all set to make her international debut with the spy thriller, Heart of Stone. Tom Harper's directorial venture is headlined by Gal Gadot, who is also a producer of this Netflix project. Heart Of Stone is touted to be the beginning of a franchise in a similar space like Mission: Impossible, but with female leads. The film also features Irish actor Jamie Dornan, who has previously earned BAFTA, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations for his performances. While Gadot has reportedly begun filming in the UK recently, we hear Bhatt will start filming her portions a little later as she has to wrap up her prior commitments, like Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
On the occasion of International Women's Day yesterday, most Bollywood actors shared a post to celebrate the women in their lives. Ajay Devgn, who is known to be a man of few words, chose to keep it simple. His social media post read: "Veena's son, Kavita and Neelam's brother, Kajol's husband, Nysa's father," thus establishing his identity through the prism of the women in his life.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are heartbroken with the passing away of their pet German Shepherd, Cleo. Sharing a picture of their canine, the Bachchan Pandey actor wrote, "They say dogs leave paw prints on our hearts. You took a part of our hearts with you today. Rest well up there, Cleo. Will miss you (sic)." Tina shared some videos and pictures with their pet, saying, "Our beautiful Cleo passed away. We had 12 wonderful years with her. I don't know how the heart can feel heavy and empty at the same time, but it does (sic)."
Elli AvrRam is the newest singer in tinsel town. The actor, who was last seen in Malang (2020), shared her debut song, Kudi main mean, yesterday. Elli used to sing when she was little but gave it up later. She says, "I somewhere lost the confidence and since then I have been very shy about it. I'm grateful to my singer friend Avina Shah who has heard me sing and pushed me to come out and hone my talent by joining her in the song." Elli juggled multiple roles for the track - she wrote the lyrics, choreographed the dance moves and even styled her outfits.
Sonakshi Sinha is miffed with reports of a non-bailable warrant against her. She issued a statement calling the matter "pure fiction and the work of a rogue individual trying to harass me." She asserted, "This man is purely trying to gain some publicity and extort money from me by attacking my reputation, which I have very proudly built over the years." Maintaining that the matter is subjudice before the Moradabad court and has been stayed by the Allahabad High Court, she added that her legal team "will be taking all the necessary action against him for contempt of court." She signed off saying there are no warrants issued against her.
Vaani Kapoor, who earned praise for her sensitive portrayal of a trans woman in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021), feels blessed to be working in Bollywood at a time when there is wide acceptance of subjects that were deemed forbidden for actors earlier. "That we had two back-to-back progressive films like Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (CKA) and Badhaai Do shows the paradigm shift that the Hindi film industry is going through." Vaani, who loves entertainers that leave a message, adds, "The fact that Indians are encouraging cinema on gender equality is an amazing feeling because we all know that we can be an extremely progressive country."
Dalai, who plays Riya, best friend to Vihaan Samat's Ray in the upcoming show Eternally Confused and Eager For Love, is daughter to former model Ranjeev Mulchandani. In the mid-'90s, Ranjeev ruled the modelling circuit with Milind Soman and Arjun Rampal. Interestingly, the heartthrob also had two gorgeous heroines fighting for him in his hey days. Dalai has previously worked as director's assistant on the web series Made in Heaven, and featured as a bride in its second episode.

The actor, who will next be seen as Shaheer Sheikh's and Kinshuk Vaidya's brother in the TV show Woh Toh Hai Albela, recently shot for an elaborate Holi sequence in Hyderabad. "It's entirely a song sequence and the song is the popular number, Dhating naach," he says. He adds that it's a vibrant and grand sequence with over 100 background dancers. He says, "The song also features the three brothers and the equation they share. In totally, the track looks beautiful."
