Aamir Khan and Advait Chandan
Talk in the trade is that all is not well between Aamir Khan and Advait Chandan. Apparently, the actor-producer and director have fallen out in the aftermath of their last venture, Laal Singh Chaddha. While it's not clear what exactly transpired between the two, sources claim that Aamir may not collaborate with Advait again. This comes as a shocker given that the director has been associated with the actor's production house for over 15 years, starting as an assistant production manager on Taare Zameen Par (2007). Advait also worked as Aamir's manager for over four years, and later on Kiran Rao's Dhobi Ghat (2010), before making his directorial debut with Secret Superstar (2017).
Over the weekend, social media was abuzz with rumours of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan being similar to south actor Karthi's Diwali offering, Sardar. "Dad is an R&AW agent, son is a police agent. Dad gets stuck in a different place/country while on a mission (due to villain character). Years later, he returns to take revenge on villain. There he meets his son. Then the flashback," claimed a user. Anthony L Reuben, who is the editor of both, Sardar and Jawan, shot down the rumours, saying, "Back in school days, most of us including me, used to think that Thalaivar Rajinikanth and Captain Vijayakanth are brothers, due to the âkanth' factor. Then I grew up. Few are still stuck in childhood." Along with a clip, he signed off, stating, "I want whomsoever to screenshot this tweet and compare both the stories, after the release!"

Meanwhile, speculations abound over when the Darlings actor will return to work. Sources claim that it will be a year before she shoots her next film. But before that, Alia will wrap up mentor Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Just one song with Ranveer Singh remains to be shot as location issues in Europe earlier this year compelled KJo to reschedule it to post Alia's delivery. Till then, Alia's entrepreneurial ventures will also keep her busy.

Over four years since Manmarziyaan (2018), Vicky Kaushal is set to work with Aanand L Rai again. Currently in the midst of casting for the project, the filmmaker will go location-scouting after Diwali. Vicky is slated to start filming under Rai's direction around mid-2023. By then, he will be through with Meghna Gulzar's biopic on legendary Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
