It appears that yet another actor is exploring the genre of mythological dramas. Reportedly, Shahid Kapoor is collaborating with Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani for a project based on the epic, Mahabharata. While specific details are being kept under wraps, it is learnt that Sasha will essay the role of one of the most powerful characters from the epic. It is also being said that a south director has been onboarded to helm the VFX-heavy project that will be made on a huge scale. Sources claim that the yet-untitled movie is the Bhagnanis' most ambitious venture so far and they are looking to give cinegoers a visual extravaganza. The makers plan to take this project on floors in mid-2024. By then, Sasha will wrap up Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews's Hindi debut, in which he plays a cop. The actor is also in talks for a masala fare to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
In a recent interview down south, Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed collaborating with Prabhas. The director is currently gearing up for the October 19 release of his sixth film, Leo, with Thalapathy Vijay. Next, he is slated to begin Thalaivar 171 with superstar Rajinikanth.

The filmmaker had earlier announced Kaithi 2 with Karthi. He also has plans of a sequel to Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram, and a spin-off, Rolex with Suriya. Considering that Lokesh had previously spoken about quitting after making 10 movies, it seems the Prabhas-starrer might be his swansong.
Yesterday, Akshay Kumar flew down to Hyderabad to join the team of Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. The filmmaker has planned to shoot several action and dramatic scenes for the 45-day schedule in Ramoji Rao Film City. Akki, who will be in Hyderabad for the next seven days, begins shooting his portions as Veer Sooryavanshi today.
He is also slated to film some action scenes with Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, who returns as Simmba in the fifth film of Rohit's cop universe. On Saturday, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who plays the love interest of Ajay's Bajirao Singham in the film, began shooting her portions.
Rumours are rife that Darlings director Jasmeet K Reen has been roped in to direct the biopic on Madhubala. She has begun working on the script along with Madhur Brij Bhushan, the late actor's youngest sister. Since there are multiple facets to Madhubala's lfe, the priority of the makers is to do justice to her legacy before they begin production. Given that it will be a dream role for any actor, the makers are said to have initiated discussion with a couple of leading ladies. If all goes well, they plan to start rolling some time next year.
In recent years, real estate seems to have become a favourite investment avenue for film celebrities. The latest is Manoj Bajpayee and wife Shabana Raza, who have purchased four office spaces in a commercial property in Oshiwara. The couple has reportedly spent about Rs 32 crore for the total space measuring approximately 7,620 sq ft. They paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.86 crore for the transaction registered on October 4. Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan have also bought offices in this property in recent months.
Hansal Mehta's web series, Scoop, starring Karishma Tanna, has scored two wins at the Busan Film Festival. The newsroom drama bagged the Best Series award, while Karishma was adjudged the Best Lead Actress. Karishma, who played Jagruti Pathak, a determined journalist on the quest for justice in the series, said, "It has been an incredible journey bringing Jagruti Pathak to life in Scoop. Big thank you to Netflix and Hansal sir for believing in me and giving me this opportunity."
On Sunday morning, Paresh Rawal arrived half-an-hour earlier at The Yoga Institute, Santacruz, for the launch of Dr Hansaji Yogendra's book, 7 Rules to Reset Your Mind and Body for Greater Well-Being. Thanking his OMG: Oh My God director Umesh Shukla for introducing him to the institute, the actor said, "I may be a Padma Shri, but I am just about getting myself to stay long enough in padmasan. Still, I will say that yoga has uplifted my body, mind and soul and has helped me become a better actor. I feel my mind, body and soul undergo dialysis after I do yoga."
