Hasee Toh Phasee turns 10
A woman runs away from home, and a stranger named Nikhil (played by Sidharth Malhotra) comes to her rescue, even arranging an auto-rickshaw for her. Seven years later, Nikhil discovers that the woman from their chance encounter is Meeta (played by Parineeti Chopra), the sister of his soon-to-be wife. Despite the impending wedding, Nikhil and Meeta feel an attraction, navigating through challenges like Chinese investors, Gujarati relatives, and the inevitable heartbreak for the woman engaged to Nikhil.
Although the film, produced by Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap, achieved only moderate success at the box office, it garnered a dedicated fanbase for its unique love story and despite its somewhat awkward handling of mental health issues.

On its 10th anniversary, the cast and crew shared memories of creating this unconventional, heartwarming romantic comedy. Parineeti Chopra dropped an adorable video where she was heard saying, "Hasee Toh Phasee is the gift that keeps on giving."
"It's been 10 years since the film released, and literally not a week goes by without someone coming up to me and saying, 'I was watching Hasee Toh Phasee just yesterday,'" she added.
Karan Johar was also featured in the video; he added, "Hasee Toh Phasee is one of the most special films we have produced at Dharma Productions."
The comment section was immediately filled with adoring fans. "Omg, it's been a decade that we have been singing along with songs of this beautiful movie (sic.)," one fan said.
Another comment read, "My most favorite film. Everything about it. And no one but @parineetichopra could have done it like that. So fresh, so cute, so real, so organic, so beautiful (sic.)."

About Hasee Toh Phasee
'Hasee Toh Phasee' (2014): Parineeti starred alongside Sidharth Malhotra in this romantic comedy. She portrayed the quirky character of Meeta, a brilliant but socially awkward scientist who reconnects with her ex-boyfriend. Sushant Singh Rajput plays the main lead in the film.
