History has been created! Virat Kohli has broken the record set by Sachin Tendulkar at the World Cup 2023 Semi-Finals today. The former captain of Team India achieved his 50th ODI century during the match with New Zealand at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. After Virat scored his 50th ODI century, his wife, Anushka Sharma got emotional and showered him with love. The actress blew kisses from the stands at the cricketer and expressed joy.
As the world sat and watched the biggest match, Virat Kohli decided to take revenge for a long-pending defeat. In 2019, New Zealand beat India in an ODI, and today, Virat marked the greatest achievement of his cricket career. As everybody celebrates King Kohli's achievement, Bollywood also took part and extended their wishes for the mighty Virat.
While celebrating Virat's big win, Sunny Deol wrote, "The KING Conquers! Wankhede stands witness to history as KING KOHLI secures his 50th ODI century, setting a world record."

Ayushmann Khurrana took to his X account and wrote, "#ViratKohliðµ is legit GOAT now! Overtaking my childhood idol SRT's record! Whatta feeling it is to do that in front of him. Class. Pure class.
Shreyas has been the dark horse of this tournament. He became a more evolved player in the past few weeks, also with the short ball. Whatta great bench strength, where a player of SKY's caliber didn't really get the chance to bat.
Overall Rohit bhaiya jo dressing room se naachte hue nikle. Pata chalta hai woh banda kitna secure hai. Always sets the momentum initially and the rest take over. Well done Team India! Almost 400 Over to the bowlers now!"
Sachin Tendulkar, who maintained the record for the highest number of centuries in ODIs for an extended period, expressed admiration for the current standout player in the Indian cricket team on his social media platform. The retired cricketer shared, "The first time I met you in the Indian dressing room, you were pranked by other teammates into touching my feet. I couldn't stop laughing that day. But soon, you touched my heart with your passion and skill. I am so happy that that young boy has grown into a âVirat' player.
I couldn't be happier that an Indian broke my record. And to do it on the biggest stage - in the World Cup Semi-final - and at my home ground is the icing on the cake. #INDvNZ"
