Aamir Khan and Amin Hajee
Aamir Khan winged his way to Jaipur earlier this week. But you're mistaken if you think the on-screen adventures of Laal Singh Chaddha have taken him to the Pink City. The superstar, who has been relentlessly working on the Advait Chandan-directed venture, has taken a break from the current schedule to film a dance number for long-time friend Amin Hajee's directorial debut, Koi Jaane Na.
"When Amin told Aamir about turning to direction with the psychological thriller, the actor was thrilled. He agreed to make a special appearance in the project, in a heartbeat. Over the next five days, Aamir will be shooting for the song with Elli AvrRam at a Jaipur studio, where a huge set has been created. Composed by Tanishk Bagchi and written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the number will be choreographed by Bosco and Caesar," reveals a source.
For the uninitiated, Khan and Hajee have been close friends over the past two decades - the latter had slipped into the role of the speech-impaired drummer, Bagha, in Lagaan (2001). Hajee also played Vir Singh in the superstar's 2005 period piece, Mangal Pandey: The Rising. His directorial debut features Kunal Kapoor and Amyra Dastur.
