There is an immense buzz and hype around filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film 'Ramayana'. While an official announcement regarding the film is yet not made, the makers have already started shooting for the film. After months of prep, actor Ranbir Kapoor who is playing Lord Ram in the film has begun the shoot. A couple of pictures of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Lord Ram and Sita shooting for the film have made their way to social media.
The pictures from the sets of the film was exclusively obtained by ZoomTV. In the pictures, Ranbir and Sai Pallavi are seen dressed in traditional outfits and walking together with a smile on their faces.
Designer duo Rimple and Harpreet have confirmed that they are crafting costumes for the forthcoming magnum opus 'Ramayana', directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Harpreet told IANS, "We are absolutely elated and honoured to be entrusted with the monumental task of designing costumes for the upcoming historical movie, 'Ramayana'."

Rimple added, "This opportunity feels like a true blessing, as the Ramayana holds unparalleled significance in our country's cultural heritage." The duo has previously showcased their talent by creating stunning costumes for films like 'Padmaavat', 'Housefull 4', and the upcoming series 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Hapreet called it "a huge responsibility" as "Ramayana not only embodies the essence of timeless values and virtues but also serves as a guiding light for generations."
"We are deeply committed to bringing forth the richness and intricacy of this epic tale through our designs, paying homage to its profound impact on our collective consciousness," Rimple added.
Additionally, Lara Dutta portrays Kaikeyi, and Arun Govil depicts Raja Dashrath.While there's no official confirmation, it has come to the fore that Bobby Deol reportedly approached to play Kumbhkaran. There are also rumours swirling around Vijay Sethupathi's potential portrayal of Raavan's youngest brother, Vibhishan. Yash is rumoured to play the role of Raavana and is also the co-producer of the film. Sunny Deol is said to play the role of Lord Hanuman.
