What are your Diwali plans this year?
I lost my mother in June, so Diwali this time will mean just lighting a diya in her memory. There will be no celebrations.
What have you shopped for?
Just sweets and new clothes for the poor and all my staff.
Your favourite childhood memories of Diwali...
I have great Diwali memories from Patna. We used to be 50 to 60 kids, cousins and friends who would have a blast.

What are the Diwali traditions at your home?
Small puja of Laxmiji, distributing sweets and lighting of candles.
What are the sweets you love gorging on during Diwali?
I love soan papdi and rasgullas.
Any favourite Diwali song or scene from a movie?
Favourite song is âLaakhon Taarey Aasman Par' by Mukesh from the film Hariyali Aur Rasta.
What's your favourite part of the festival?
Illumination. The whole country looks like heaven on earth, like a dulhan.
