Exclusive! Rakul Preet Singh: My film with Akshay Kumar is not titled 'Mission Cinderella'

Rakul Preet Singh was last seen in Ajay Devgn's Runway 34 and with John Abraham in Attack. Both films fetched the actress rave reviews, particularly the former for its gripping first half and claustrophobic cinematography. Singh spoke at length about films, characters, and everything in between.

She first recalls De De Pyaar De and elaborates on the irony of ‘opposites attract' and ‘we are not compatible enough'. She opines, "Even opposites cannot be compatible enough. After a point, for two people to get married or stay together is a huge decision, especially in today's day and age when people are marrying later than earlier when people used to get married by 20-21. Two people shape an identity together, you grow together. Today when people get married later, they have to be sure they are compatible."

She said in an interview once that she juggles between Hyderabad and Mumbai the way she juggles between Andheri and Bandra. How similar she finds the two cities? "I think they are very different cities. I feel people are passionate both in Mumbai and in Hyderabad and very driven people, so that's the similarities," she states.

When asked about her film with Akshay Kumar, she says, "It's not titled Cinderella, it's untitled." Her first film with Devgn was a romantic drama, the second was a thriller and the next one called Thank God is a comedy. So how does she feel to explode three different genres with the same actor? She says, "So in Thank God, Ajay sir and I don't have too many combination scenes but it's great because I got to see him in comedy, his comic timing is great which we know through the Golmaals, so his performance is great. He's very good in switching. One second he's Singham and the other second he's someone else so he's very good with it. It's always a different experience working with him. There's always that you take away."
