Eid special! Zaheer Iqbal: On Eid everyone makes sure they give undivided attention to family

'Notebook' actor Zaheer Iqbal joins mid-day.com to share his plans for Eid and some special memories of the festival.

How will you be celebrating Eid this year?

I will be celebrating Eid with family. My entire family comes home, dad's four siblings with their kids and grandkids, all of us cousins. Everyone makes sure they are in town for the celebrations.

What are your childhood memories of the festival?

Sitting with cousins at the end of the day to count Eidi and giving each other advice on how to spend the money. We felt we could but anything with the amount we had. (laughs)

The dishes you cant wait to indulge in?

Biryani and sheer khurma, my all time favourites!

What is it that you look forward to most?

Spending time with family because usually when you make plans with the extended family, somebody's always travelling or at work! On Eid everyone makes sure they are present and give undivided attention to family.

What will you be wearing for the celebrations?

I will wear anything my sister gives me she's a stylist!
