Saiyami Kher
In her six-year career so far, Saiyami Kher has been fortunate to work with reputed directors. While the actor was launched by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in Mirzya (2016), she went on to work with Anurag Kashyap on Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai (2020), and recently with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari on Faadu. With Ghoomer, she has added another director, R Balki, to the list. The actor is evidently in awe of the filmmaker, as she says, "Having worked with Balki sir, [I can say] that he is the most intelligent human being I have met. His words are minimal, he doesn't have long conversations."

The sports drama sees Abhishek Bachchan play a coach to Kher's cricketer. Ghoomer salutes the achievements of sportsmen who have conquered their disabilities to make their mark in the field. Kher says that when collaborating with Balki, one needs to know their part inside out, so that they can quickly adapt according to the filmmaker's different approaches. She adds, "You need to be thoroughly prepared when you go to him, because he can have 100 answers to [the query] that you put forward. He is sharp, and will know whether you are on the ball."
