Deepika Padukone with Veena Nagda
Five years after their marriage actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone shared their wedding video exclusively on Koffee With Karan. The couple was the openers of the new season of the chat show hosted by Karan Johar. After they dropped the wedding video, celebrity mehendi artist Veena Nagda penned a post for the couple and also shared an interesting story.
Veena Nagda took to social media to reveal that Deepika Padukone had promised her during the shoot of 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' that she would call her for the mehendi for her wedding as well. Sharing the wedding video, Veena Nagda wrote, "Thank you for letting me be a part of this beautiful moment in your lives. Words cannot express my happiness and love for both of you. Wish you all the happiness in the world. A promise Deepika made me during the shoot of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani that I'll be applying the mehendi at her wedding and she stuck to her words means the world to me. One of the nicest person I've met in my life!"
Veena Nagda has also shared a series of stills from Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding video.

Veena Nagda also shared a major throwback moment from the sets of Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which was released in 2013. In the pic, Deepika is getting Henna done on her palms while dressed as her character Naina. The side note read, "A promise she made me during the shoot of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani that I'll be applying the mehendi at her wedding and she stuck to her words means the world to me. One of the nicest people I've met in my life! Wish you all happiness."
For the first time, Deepika and Ranveer shared glimpses of their most special day with the audience on Koffee With Karan 8. The couple tied the knot in November 2018 in Italy in a private ceremony with only family members in attendance. The video commenced with mushy footage of Deepika getting emotional at her mehendi and Ranveer wiped off her tears and licked it.
The wedding video features unseen footage from the ceremonies. At their official ring ceremony, Ranveer's father revealed the actor's dream was to marry Deepika one day and how it just came true. The actress' father, Badminton champion Prakash Padukone said Ranveer is exactly the opposite of the Padukones and why it was a much-needed change.
Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot at Lake Como in Italy according to Sindhi and Konkani rituals. They returned to India and hosted multiple receptions for friends and colleagues.
