Boman Irani
After receiving the second dose of the jab, Boman Irani and Madhuri Dixit-Nene reiterated the need to be immunised to fight the virus. Irani, who was administered the shot at Global Hospital, Parel, discouraged people from falling prey to false information doing the rounds.
Boman Irani wrote on Instagram, "Brothers and Sisters. This is very very important. The recent surge could have been less intense if people who had the chance to get vaccinated had taken it. However, it is not too late. This is the reality through statistics. 'The vaccination helps.' Now let's fight this and not act like doctors from the University of WhatsApp forwards. Please take it as and when you get the chance. A big jhappi to Anoop Lawrence, Hilda, and Sisters Clemintina and Ashwini from #GlobalHospitalMumbai. Kindness and the softest little injection goes a long way.

The surge of cases in the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a virtual collapse of the healthcare system, particularly in the national capital, with an acute shortage of hospital beds, ventilators and oxygen and the relentless flow of patients, many of them critical.
India's total COVID-19 tally climbed to 1,76,36,307 (1.76 crore/17.6 million) with 3,23,144 people testing positive for coronavirus in a day, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday. The death toll increased to 1,97,894 with 2,771 daily new fatalities.
