With the furore over the ban on Pakistani artistes in Bollywood post the Uri attacks subsiding, cultural ties between India and Pakistan seem to be inching towards normalcy.

Artistes belonging to the two nations have been teaming up for projects, and the latest to join cross-border collaborations is Pakistani singer Atif Aslam. He has lent his voice to a track in the forthcoming Irrfan Khan-starrer 'Hindi Medium', which also stars Pak actress Saba Qamar.

He wanted to sing the romantic number, Hoor, which was shot in Georgia last month, ever since he heard the rough sketch. "Bollywood has always given me a lot of love.

I have always been appreciated by Indian fans and I hope they love my new song too. I had worked with Dinesh Vijan [producer] in Badlapur (2015). It was an amazing experience. Hoor portrays the journey of a couple's growth in love. Composers Sachin-Jigar always surprise me with their talent," says the 34-year-old, adding that he was kicked about singing a love song picturised on Irrfan. "It is pretty unusual for him [to feature in a love track]. I am excited that I am lending my voice [to him]."
