Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia/Amit Rajput
Actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia aka Meher from ''Chhoti Sardarni' spoke to mid-day.com, just before entering the 'Bigg Boss' house. She shared her thoughts about host Salman Khan, her unconventional choices and more!
Your fans have been awaiting your return in fiction shows...
I don't know what I'll do next because I've made unconventional choices. Three years ago I was a law student, then I entered Miss India, followed by 'Chhoti Sardarni' and now a reality show. I don't want to restrict myself and I'm hungry to try different things as an actor. I don't know what I'll do tomorrow but I hope life gives me opportunities to make the right decision.
How did your family and friends react when you decided to takeup 'Bigg Boss 16?'
My friends and family were shocked and surprised but excited! Now they are nervous for me. 'Bigg Boss' is the biggest reality show and it gives you pan India access. As the D-day approaches everyone is jittery because they won't get to speak to me in person and see me. My mum has been saying 'It's like you are getting married and going away' and I've been telling her 'I'm just entering the house.'
Your thoughts about host Salman Khan?
He is the superstar, the OG. I'm a huge fan of his, there is no-one that isn't. I'm lucky I get to be on a show hosted by a superstar like him.
