Bhumi Pednekar defends Animal
In a recent interview, Bhumi Pednekar shared her perspective on the film with The Lallantop, mentioning that she has seen it but expressing her disinterest in "hyper-masculine films."
She shared, "I watched Animal. Truly, I don't like hyper-masculine films, and that's not for just now, even earlier I never liked them. Even in Hollywood, the action films⦠I like watching rom-coms, those kind of films I really enjoy,"

According to Bhumi Pednekar, a movie serves as a filmmaker's means of self-expression, but the real "challenge" lies in what the audience takes away from it. She shared, "I genuinely believe that a film is a filmmaker's self expression, and that is very important. But as an audience, what you learn from that self expression, that is the challenge."
Sandeep Reddy Vanga on Javed Akhtar's criticism of 'Animal'
Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently enjoying the success of the Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Animal.' The director has been quite vocal about the backlash his film has received and is leaving no stone unturned in replying to the people who have criticized his action drama. From Kiran Rao to several other critics, Vanga has been calling out all of them. This time, on his radar, was veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar. In a recent time, Javed Akhtar Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal success 'dangerous'.
Now, while hitting back at Akhtar, Vanga in an interview with Siddharth Kannan said, "It is very clear that he did not watch the film. It's very clear in that comment that he did not see the entire film. Now if someone is talking without watching the film, what can I say about them? Obviously, you feel bad because it is very clear that he has not seen the film and not only about him; anybody who is throwing stones on an art piece, why don't they check their surroundings first?"
He further asked Javed Akhtar why he didn't tell the same thing to his own son for producing a show Like Mirzapur. Sandeep shared, "Why didn't he tell the same thing to Farhan Akhtar when he was producing Mirzapur. Duniya bhar ke gaali Mirzapur ek show mai hai (the series is full of abuses) and I haven't watched the whole show. When the show was translated into Telugu, if you watch that, then you will feel like puking. Why is he not checking his son's work?"
