In case you are still unaware, Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan is gearing up for his Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films' period drama, yet to be titled. Siddharth P Malhotra will helm the movie, which is based on the 1862 Maharaj libel case.
Producer Aditya Chopra and the director have envisioned it as a big-budget drama, authentic to the period it is set in. "Earlier, the team had locked a location in Bangur Nagar, Goregaon, to build the set. However, Adi sir felt the film would need a bigger set-up and finally zeroed in on Madh Island. The construction work will begin in a day or two. Siddharth is eyeing to take the project on floors by early 2021," says a source.
And as Junaid enters this new phase of his life, his sister Ira Khan has posted a picture with him on her Instagram account and written a heartfelt note for her brother. She expressed- "Junnuu! This wasn't his first play or his first show or our first play together but.. today is his first day! Of shoot. And I love this picture.
He's been acting for a few years now but its still new for me. He even acted my play so I should be over it... but I've been his younger sister longer than any of the other things." [SIC]
She added, "His professionalism is unparalleled. I'm super excited for him. Can't wait till he blows everyone away. And irritates them a little with his properness. (HE REFUSES TO TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THE FILM. SO IRRITATING. I WANT INSIDE SCOOP) and then I can go to set and embarrass and trouble him!" [SIC]
