According to what The Times of India claimed in one of their reports, the Oscar-winning composer has demanded Rs 10 crores from the organization in the legal notice issued against them. Rahman has claimed that all the accusations put against him are baseless and has asked the organization to withdraw its complaint against him. In the four-page-long reply issued by Rahman's lawyer, it is claimed that he never entered into any contractual obligation with the association.

As per the reports in TOI, Rahman shared, "The amount claimed was never paid to me but to a third party, Senthilvelan and a group of companies of Senthilvelan. Knowing fully that the association has no money transaction with me, they have chosen to drag me into the controversy."

The reports also state that the Kun Faya Kun singer will take legal action if the organization fails to pay the compensation amount to him. The musician also mentioned that the complaint was filed against him to damage his reputation. Thus, if an apology is not issued within 15 days, compensation of 10 crore rupees will be sought.

For those unaware, the Surgeons' Association filed a complaint against the renowned musician, AR Rahman, at the Chennai Police Commissioner's office, stating that his 2018 concerts were cancelled and he didn't return the advance payment given to him.

According to the organization, the government at that time didn't grant permission for the concert, so they demanded a return of 29.5 lakhs that had been given to the music composer in advance. The organization further claimed that the team of musicians had given them a check, which subsequently bounced.
