Anushka Sharma announces arrival of baby boy
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been dominating headlines since October 2023 after a report about the two expecting their second child surfaced. Since then, there have been several speculations made regarding the actress's pregnancy. The couple has not confirmed any reports surrounding the news till today. Now, Anushka Sharma has shared the happy news and revealed that she and Virat Kohli welcomed a baby boy on February 15.
The actress took to her Instagram and shared the news of the arrival of their little bundle of joy 'Akaay'. While sharing the news with her fans, Anushka wrote, "With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika's little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude. Virat & Anushka"
As soon as Anushka dropped the news, fans started congratulating the couple. A fan wrote, "Congratulations god bless". "Congratulations chiku Bhaiya", commented another user. While a third fan commented, "Wow now a perfect family done congratulations". Apart from fans, celebrities like Shweta Bachchan also extended wishes for the little one.
Earlier in January, Virat's close friend AB De Villiers confirmed Anushka's pregnancy reports and said, "Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it's family time, and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people's priority is family. You can't judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he has made the right decision."
For the unversed, Virushka tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy's Tuscany in 2017. One of the most popular celebrity couples in India, the stars managed to keep their wedding a secret despite their relationship attracting a lot of limelight. The couple then welcomed their daughter, Vamika in January 2021.
