Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli blessed with a baby girl; Bollywood celebs shower the couple with love

Anushka Sharma became mum to a baby girl on January 11, 2021. Husband and new dad Virat Kohli shared the happy news on his Twitter handle. Virat tweeted: "We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time (sic)".

Several Bollywood celebrities congratulated the couple on social media. Commenting on Virat Kohli's Instagram post, actress Rakul Preet Singh wrote, "Omgggg Congratulationsssss (sic)". Ishaan Khatter also expressed his excitement and left a barrage of heart emojis on Virat's timeline.

Sophie Choudry wrote, "Huge congrats VK to you and @anushkasharma. God bless the little angel with good health and happiness always. You will be wonderful parents (sic)", along with a heart emoji. Dia Mirza also congratulated Virat and Anushka. She wrote, "Such a wonderful news (sic)", on Virat's post on Instagram, while Bipasha Basu commented, "Congratulations! God bless the little baby angel (sic)".

Bhumi Pednekar shared Virat's post on her Instagram story and wrote, "Congratulations. Here's wishing all three of you a happy, healthy and prosperous life (sic)."

Parambrata Chattopadhyay also congratulated the couple on Twitter. She tweeted, "Heartiest congratulations to @imVkohli & @AnushkaSharma on this wonderful news (sic)! (sic)".

Anushka had announced the pregnancy news on her Instagram handle during the lockdown. She shared a picture of herself flaunting her baby bump and wrote, "And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021 (sic)". Virat can be also be seen in the picture.
