Anurag Kashyap
Rising actors' costs are a major concern in Bollywood right now. Anurag Kashyap, an ace filmmaker who has given several hit films, spoke about big-budget movies failing at the box office, blaming the high demands of actors. Kashyap shared that while on the set of Sacred Games, he noticed a lot of Vanity vans for the films.
In a conversation with Humans of Cinema, Kashyap shared, "I had never seen so many vanity vans on my set like I saw on Sacred Games... That's how the culture got started. Then you can't reverse that. Finally, those people started getting paid who were totally ignored, which is the technical crew⦠It's fair, in a way. But a lot of extra things started coming in."
Further emphasizing on big-budget films flopping at the box office, Anurag shared that not all the money is being spent on the film but rather on paraphernalia. He said, "They aren't spending on just the film. One thing people need to understand is that when we make a film, we're working, we're creating something. It's not a holiday, it's not a picnic. A lot of money that is spent doesn't go into making the film. It goes into the paraphernalia, it goes into the entourage. You're shooting in the middle of a jungle, but one car will be sent to the city three hours away specifically to get you that five-star burger you want."
It was earlier, after Dev D, when Anurag Kashyap claimed that Abhay Deol demanded a 5-star room for his stay. While reacting to these claims, Abhay, in one of Midday's Sit With Hitlist interviews, shared that all these claims were false. Abhay also said that, according to him, Kashyap is a liar and a toxic person.

Anurag Kashyap will star in Bad Cop as the quirky, charming, and deadly villain. Speaking about his role, Anurag Kashyap said, "I have created a lot of characters that are gory, quirky, dark, and many more things, but believe it or not, it was difficult for me to portray one. Kazbe is someone who doesn't think too much before doing anything, he just does it. He is a dreadful, eccentric, nefarious, and quintessential villain. I had to delve into the intricacies of this character and make it my own."
