As the excitement for the release of the highly anticipated film âGhoomer' grows, Abhishek Bachchan receives support and admiration from none other than his father, Amitabh Bachchan. The veteran actor came to Twitter to offer his thoughts on the film and to compliment Abhishek on his performance.
Amitabh tweeted in response to a post from Abhishek's fan club and wrote, "As always⦠you have excelled in the film, and the film itself is such an entertainer, that's the very best for it⦠love."
The trailer for Ghoomer was supposed to be released today, but it has been pushed back to August 4. Abhishek himself revealed the change, stating, "Ghoomer trailer out tomorrow. #GhoomerInCinemas on 18th August."
Ghoomer, co-written by R. Balki, Rahul Sengupta, and Rishi Virmani, is inspired by the story of Karoly Takacs, the late Hungarian right-hand shooter who survived a severe injury to his dominant hand and went on to win two Olympic gold medals using his left hand. In the film, Saiyami Kher will portray a disabled cricketer.

Ghoomer will have its world debut at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2023 on August 12 at Hoyts, Docklands. Following its premiere at the film festival, the film will be released in theatres across the country on August 18. Ghoomer is directed by R. Balki and stars Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi in major parts.
The decision to postpone the trailer was taken in the wake of the news about the death of art director Nitin Desai. Bachchan explained that this move was a gesture of respect for the departed Lagaan art director.
Abhishek took to social media to break the news about the delay and to acknowledge Desai's death. He posted a tweet saying, "As a mark of respect to our beloved #NitinDesai, we the team of #Ghoomer have decided to postpone our trailer release function which was to be held tomorrow in Mumbai. We will release it the day after on the 4th of August."
Talking about work commitments, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Sooraj Barjatya's film âUunchai' opposite Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, and others. The film was based on the idea of the importance of friendship and showed how few friends can walk miles just to fulfil your wish.
On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Dasvi. He also made a cameo appearance in Ajay Devgn's âBholaa' as Chomu Singh.
