'All Eyes on Rafah' - you must have seen this image on many Instagram stories. Bollywood celebs have also joined in to show their support for Rafah and condemn the reckless killing of children, days after Israel's attack. Celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have come out to show their solidarity with Palestine.
Alia Bhatt, who is a mother to a one-year-old girl named Raha, took to her Instagram and shared a post by @themotherhoodhome on her story, which reads, "All children deserve love. All children deserve safety. All children deserve peace. All children deserve life. And all mothers deserve to be able to give their children those things (red heart doodle)." Alia wrote in the caption, "#AllEyesOnRafah." Alia and her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their daughter Raha Kapoor in November 2022.
Kareena Kapoor also showed her solidarity with Palestine by sharing a post from the official Instagram handle of UNICEF, which was a statement by Executive Director Catherine Russell condemning the killing of children and families in Rafah. The post Kareena shared reads, "Images of burned children and families emerging from bombed tents in Rafah shock us all. The reported killing of children sheltering in makeshift tents is unconscionable. For over seven months, we've witnessed this tragedy unfold, resulting in thousands of children killed or injured. There must be an immediate ceasefire, the unconditional release of all hostages, and an end to the senseless killing of children. Catherine Russell, UNICEF Executive Director."
