In a major escalation on October 7, Hamas launched a "surprise attack" on Israel, firing a barrage of rockets into the southern and central parts of the country. The attack has led to the death of over 700 Israeli nationalists and thousands injured. In the Gaza Strip, there are nearly 500 deaths and over 2,000 wounded in Israel's counterattack.
The war has led to several people placing their views and taking a stand about the same. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently shared his view on the ongoibg war. Speaking to Times Now, the actor said, "Any kind of terrorism is wrong. It is very sad what happens. I hope everything stops and becomes normal; that's all I can pray for."
When the actor was further sked who many people are still not condemning war0like situation in the Middle East country, Kumar said, "I said that any sort of terrorism is wrong. Killing is not the answer, the answer is may be amicably talking about it. I condemn any kind of killing of children or women."
Notably, Israel has begun its retaliation after a surprise attack by Hamas. As part of its retaliation against Hamas, Israel has mobilised 3,00,000 troops. This is the largest mobilisation since the 1973 Yom Kippur War when Israel called up 400,000 reservists, Times of Israel reported. "Israel is at war. We didn't want this war. It was forced upon us in the most brutal and savage way. But though Israel didn't start this war, Israel will finish it," said Netanyahu in an address to the nation.
