On Thursday afternoon, Akshay Kumar was seen arriving in Lucknow for the shoot of his next film. The actor immediately took off to his shoot location after arriving at Lucknow airport. He recached Sitapur via a chopper. The film directed by Abhishek Kapoor of 'Kedarnath' fame and Sandeep Kelwani also stars Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur and newcomer Veer Pahariya.

Reportedly, the film titled 'Sky Force' is set in the backdrop of the Indian Air Force. According to a report in Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar landed in Lucknow at 3pm on Thursday and headed to Sitapur in a chopper where a team of over 350 people has already set the stage for the shoot since August 18. The film was supposed to start the schedule on August 19 but got delayed due to unknown reasons.

This is the second time that Akshay Kumar will be sharing screen space with Sara Ali Khan. They previously worked together in Aanand L Rai's 'Atrangi Re' along with Dhanush. This is also Akshay's second film with Nimrat Kaur. They played a married couple in the 2016 film 'Airlift'.

'Sky Force' will also mark the debut of Veer Pahariya. He is the younger brother of Janhvi Kapoor's rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya.

Reportedly, the Sitapur schedule of 'Sky Force' will go on for 12 days and the team will then travel back to Lucknow for a 15-day schedule.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar recently deilvered a hit with 'OMG 2'. The actor gave a hit after back-to-back unsuccessful films at the box office. His film 'OMG 2' is a sequel to the 2012 film 'OMG: Oh My God!'. While the first part starred Paresh Rawal alongside Akshay Kumar, the second part had Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam alongside him. Akshay Kumar who played Lord Krishna in the first part played the messenger of Lord Shiva in the sequel. He was initially playing Lord Shiva but on CBFC's demand, his character was portrayed as messenger of the Lord. The film which is centered on sex education had a tough time getting CBFC nod. It was ultimately passed with around 20 modifications and an A certificate.
