Mumbai: Padma Bhushan awardee and veteran composer Mohammed Zahur Khayyam, who recently turned 90, has launched his jukebox titled "Soothing Melodies of Khayyam" on a YouTube channel.
Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. paid tribute to the veteran music composer by launching his jukebox which features 20 original song videos from his films like "Bazaar", "Shagoon", "Footpath" and "Lorie" among others. It is available on YouTube channel Filmi Gaane, read a statement.
The National Award winner, who turned a year older on February 18, has composed for films like "Kabhi Kabhie", "Trishul", "Noorie", "Umrao Jaan", and "Razia Sultan".
On his birthday, Khayyam also announced the formation of a charity trust called Khayyam Jagjeet Kaur KPG Charitable Trust and also shared the news that he is donating his entire wealth valued around Rs 10 crore to his own trust, which will help needy artists and technicians of the film industry.
