Abhishek Bachchan is on the cusp of unveiling his much-anticipated film 'Ghoomer,' marking his reunion with director R Balki, known for their previous hit 'Paa.' This time around, the duo presents a heartwarming tale that centers around resilience and determination.
'Ghoomer' not only showcases Abhishek's acting prowess but also features Saiyami Kher in a pivotal role. The narrative revolves around Kher's character, a promising cricketer who encounters a life-altering accident that costs her an arm. Abhishek's character steps in as a coach, guiding her through the arduous journey of making an extraordinary comeback with only her left hand.
Scheduled for release on August 18th, 'Ghoomer' promises to captivate audiences with its unique storyline and emotive performances. In anticipation of the film's debut, ETimes engaged in an insightful conversation with the trio - Abhishek, Saiyami, and R Balki - exploring their experiences and camaraderie on set.
Amidst the discussions, a light-hearted rapid-fire session brought forth some candid revelations. When prompted about his preferred co-star for a selfie, Abhishek cheekily responded, "My wife". Elaborating with a chuckle, he added, "Her skills behind the camera guarantee I'll look good." The focus then shifted to Saiyami, who amusingly disclosed a shared culinary aversion. "They both dislike fruits. Even since childhood, they've had an aversion to them. Ironically, I have an affinity for fruits, leading to separate dining arrangements," she shared. Balki humorously chimed in, "We've developed an allergy to fruits." Abhishek, maintaining his playful tone, quipped, "Fruits are bad for you. Balki and I are probably going to outlast everyone here due to our fruit-free diets." Good-natured banter followed, with both Balki and Abhishek jesting about their aversion to Saiyami's food preferences.
